What is Notarization?

Notarization provides official verification that a document's signature is authentic, the signer was not coerced, and the signer genuinely agrees to the document's terms.

Requirements for Notarization

All document signers and any required witnesses must appear in person during the notarization process. Each signer must present valid, state-approved identification, and you must bring the complete document—not just the signature pages.

Preparation Checklist

Before coming in, please ensure you have prepared properly. Leave documents unsigned and undated, as notaries typically require signatures to be completed in their presence. Gather all pages of every document requiring notarization, and confirm that each signer has appropriate identification that meets state requirements.

Note:

All documents to be notarized must have a area that is specific for a notary to sign. This is referred to as a notary block. If you are unsure if your document qualifies, either come in or give us a call and we will be happy to assist you.
